Welcome to the home of Ipswich & West Moreton Cricket Association.

 

The I.W.M.C.A.inc. is an affiliated Association with the Ipswich Logan Cricket Association inc. and with the South-east Queensland Cricket Association inc. and provides a pathway for cricketers to progress through the levels of cricket from local Club to Inter-district Competitions, to the Premier League Competition, to Brisbane Grade Cricket, to South-east Queensland representation, and ultimately selection in either Queensland Country or the Queensland Sheffield shield teams.

It has a strong Junior base with coaching development programs leading to age level Interclub Competitions and pathways leading to representative honours, similarly to the Senior Grades.

The I.W.M.C.A. inc. covers a geographical area stretching from Laidley in the West to Springfield in the East, from Mt. Crosby in the North to Boonah in the South.

Currently, there are 9 Affiliated Clubs. The Clubs are Brothers, Centrals, Eastern Taipans, Fassifern, Laidley, Marburg, Mt. Crosby, Northsiders, and Swifts.

Senior Grade Cricket will be played in 4 levels of competition the Premier League, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade. The competition will include 1 day games, 2 day games, and T20 games.

Junior Level Cricket will be played in Age Levels across U16yrs, U14yrs, U12yrs, U10yrs and possibly U8yrs. Age level cricket adapts to modifications across the younger age groups.

Club fixtures are normally played on Saturdays with representative Cricket played on Sundays. In the coming season, there will also be T20 Cricket played under lights mid-week.

From time to time, special one-day Carnival events will be held including the Baxter Big Bash T20 for the Seniors and T20 Carnival days for the Juniors.
