Konica Minolta Queensland Fire 2013-14
The Konica Minolta Queensland Fire is the State's No.1 women's team, proudly sponsored by Konica Minolta.
The Queensland Fire participate in the Women's National Cricket League, which features teams from ACT, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. The Fire play a total of six 50-over games (one against each other State) and 12 Twenty20 games each season.
Most home games are played at Allan Border Field, Albion, with free entry and easy on-site parking.
Queensland have never won a WNCL title. The Konica Minolta Fire finished second in the one-day competition and fifth in the T20s in 2012-13.
The Fire squad of 2013-14 includes: Jodie Fields (Western Suburbs - captain), Jemma Barsby (Sandgate-Redcliffe), Haidee Birkett (Charters Towers), Taylah Brotherson (Sandgate-Redcliffe), Melissa Bulow (Wests), Holly Ferling (Kingaroy/Wests), Grace Harris (Wests), Courtney Hill (Sunshine Coast/Rockhampton), Rebecca Hollindale (Uni of Qld), Sammy-Jo Johnson (Lismore/Wests), Jessica Jonassen (University/Rockhampton), Delissa Kimmince (Ipswich-Logan/Warwick), Beth Mooney (Sandgate-Redcliffe/Hervey Bay), Kirby Short (Wests), Kirsten Pike (Sandgate-Redcliffe) and Fran Whittaker (Ipswich/Logan).
The coach is Andy Richards, who is in his fourth season at the helm.
The Fire have three rookies in 2013-14 - Nicole Geddes (Sandgate-Redcliffe), Casey Ryan (Wests) and Alice Smith (Condamine),
