The Brisbane Heat is Queensland's only team in the inaugural Big Bash League, known as the BBL, which takes place in December 2011 and January 2012.

Eight teams will belt it out for national T20 supremacy, with the Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers standing between the Heat and the title.

The Heat will play three or four home games at the Gabba and seven in total, with all round-robin matches televised live on FoxSports.

The Heat will wear an eye-catching teal coloured uniform and will be coached by Darren Lehmann.

Great membership deals will be offered as the competition approaches.
