• Has a highest Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup score of 234 against Tasmania, and 152no in domestic one day cricket against Victoria in 1998-1999.
• Played three Pura Cup and five ING games for Queensland in 2005-2006 after being omitted from the Australian one day team.
• Scored 1136 runs at 126.22, including seven centuries, in the most prolific Shield season by a Queenslander in 1993-1994.
• Along with Stuart Law, has scored the most Sheffield Shield/Pura Cup centuries in Queensland’s history (24).
• Held the world record for the highest Test score (380 v Zimbabwe, 2003) until eclipsed by Brian Lara in 2004.
• Scored a Test century in each innings against Sri Lanka in Cairns in 2004, only the third Australian to do so more than once (along with Greg Chappell and Allan Border), and passed 5000 Test runs in the process.
