Local Government

Many Local Government Authorities have programs that support sport and community development in their area. Some have appointed Sport and Recreation Officers.

Brisbane City Council offers a Community Grants Program, funding facilities and programs within the BCC boundaries.

To find out what assistance is available for other Councils check the LGAQ Local Government Directory and their website links.  Information on assistance programs can usually be found under the community section.  If you can't find what you're looking for, make direct contact with a Council officer, as they are the best avenue for current information. Details of these contacts can be found on the websites.
