Australia turned the tables on New Zealand by running down a big total in the second match of the Rose Bowl Series at North Sydney Oval today.

Queensland and Australian skipper Jodie Fields continued her good form with the bat while Jess Jonassen grabbed one wicket with the ball.

Fields made a busy 31 off 46 balls before being run out in a mix-up with Sarah Coyte.

Fields took off after reverse-sweeping but was sent back by Coyte and could not make her ground.

The duo put on 60 for the sixth wicket to take their team to within 29 runs of victory with seven overs left.

Australia didn't lose another wicket as Coyte went on to register a half-century with the home team making 6-289 in reply to the Silver Ferns' 6-288.

New Zealand were again led by a brilliant second wicket partnership of 115 between Suzie Bates (59) and Amy Satterthwaite (109 off 119 balls).

Jonassen made a big breakthrough by bowling Sarah McGlashan for 51 off 51 balls. The Queensland left-armer finished with 1-47 off seven overs.
