The Queensland Academy of Sport has finished their Toyota Futures League 2nd XI season with a loss today to ACT/NSW Country in Canberra.

Along the way, my FootDr Queensland Bulls batsman Joe Burns had scores of 15 in each innings in his comeback from a groin injury while his Bulls squad mate Peter Forrest completed an exceptional Futures League stint with 106 and 72 to finish as the leading runs-scorer in the competition.

Forrest hit three consecutive centuries in the back half of the competition.

Young Australian U-19 pace bowlers Blake Edwards (3-55 in the first innings) and Xavier Bartlett (4-59 in the second innings) claimed the most wickets in each innings for the QAS.
