Queenslanders Mitch Swepson, Jack Wildermuth and Billy Stanlake have gained selection in the Australian limited overs squads for their winter series against England and Zimbabwe.

Cricket Australia’s National Selection Panel (NSP) today confirmed a 15-player squad for the ODI component of the Qantas Tour of England and a 14-player T20 squad for the Qantas Tour of Zimbabwe.

Stanlake will play in the one-day squad that tours England while Wildermuth and Swepson, both key members of the my FootDr Queensland Bulls squad that won the JLT Sheffield Shield, have been rewarded for their versatility and all-round efforts with selection for the first time in the T20 International squad.

The 14-player T20 International squad will play one game against England before traveling to Africa for and the Qantas Tour of Zimbabwe following the English Tour.

The Cricket Australia Board has endorsed Aaron Finch as Captain for this series, with Alex Carey to act as his vice-Captain for this T20 International tour.

National T20 Selector Mark Waugh said: “The NSP hold Jack in high regard as young player on the rise.

“He has shown excellent all-round skills at the first-class level, particularly with the ball in the Big Bash. We look forward to seeing what he can produce at the international level."

“Mitchell provides the Captain with good variety and wicket-taking options. He competes very well and deserves his chance at this level,” said Waugh.
