The Queensland Under-17 side will contest the National Championship Final for the third year in a row after defeating the Cricket Australia XI today in their semi-final in Brisbane.

Queensland will meet NSW Metro in a repeat of the past two Finals, with Queensland winning in 2015-16 and NSW bouncing back to take the title last  year.

The decider will be held tomorrow at Allan Border Field and will be streamed live through cricket.com.au

Queensland today defeated the CA XI in a low-scoring match at Churchie, with Norths leg-spinner Tom Nicholson snaring 6-20 from his 10 overs as the previously undefeated CA XI were dismissed for 87.

The young Maroons then scored 4-90 off 12.4 overs to claim the semi-final result. Gold Coast opener Jack Cooper, whose older brother Tom hit an unbeaten century last weekend for South Australia against Queensland in the JLT One Day Cup at Allan Border Field, top-scored with 59 not out for the home side.
