Mark Steketee

With a nickname that flows like his action, Mark ‘Speedy’ Steketee is one of many recent additions to the my Foot Dr Queensland Bulls' up and coming fast bowling stocks.

The South Brisbane cricketer will once again line up for the my Foot Dr Queensland Bulls and Brisbane Heat in the KFC T20 Big Bash League.

A former national youth player (representing the Queensland Under-17, 19 and Australia Under-19 teams) Steketee played for the Queensland Academy of Sport 2nd XI squad that won the Toyota Futures League last season. On the back of his performances, he was announced as the Queensland Academy of Sport Player of the Year.

Stekers made a stellar start to his career as a Queensland Bull, taking 4-29 and man of the match honours as the Bulls crushed the Victorian Bushrangers in the Matador Cup.

Starting well seems to be a consistent theme with Mark after he took a wicket in his first over for the Brisbane Heat, while he also claimed seven wickets in his first-class debut for the Bulls.
