Tom’s wish to follow in the steps of Brisbane Heat duo Brendon McCullum and Chris Lynn provided the winning edge for the Wilston-Norths Junior Club, which also happens to be the junior club of prospective ‘Bash Brother’ and Heat batsman Joe Burns.

His winning entry was a simple but effective one: “I love playing cricket, it's loads of fun! I go to EVERY Heat game and I'm gonna be the next bash brother!”

Tom’s mum Jenny sent in the entry that earned Wilston-Norths two full kit bags of training equipment as the December winners of the KFC Local Matters promotion that is being run across the summer.

KFC are giving away 1 cricket training kit every month until February, valued at $1000 to any Qld Club, plus the individual winner will receive a signed Heat Jersey,.

Tom also received a signed Heat shirt, with the ‘Bash Brothers’ signatures prominent on his prize.

People can enter as many times as they like. Alll they need to do is visit http://www.brisbaneheat.com.au/kfc-local-matters and say in 25 words or less why they love their club and the Big Bash – super easy.
