Queensland have defeated ACT, South Australia and NSW, losing only to Victoria.

There have been a string of impressive individual efforts, with home-grown batsman Chris Gillam hitting 77 from 49 balls and Cairns allrounder having a day out with 3-30 and 46 from 18 balls in the opening game against the ACT.

Talented Mackay batsman Mitchell English smashed 94 from 65 balls in the win over South Australia while Cairns allrounder Jake Roach nabbed 3-20 and 65 not out from 38 balls against NSW.

The Queensland Country women opened their campaign with a strong win over Victoria.

Captain Steph Baldwin top-scored with 77 from 68 balls while Carly Fuller hit 48 from 40 balls as Queensland made 2-152.

Victoria was held to 7-123 with Lexi Muller producing an outstanding spell of 2-2 from three overs while Gold Coast leg-spinner Melissa Lewis claimed 2-16 and Toowoomba's Eliza Flynn had 2-31.
