The left-hander has batted without incident this week in the nets.
Khawaja suffered his injury during warm-ups in the second Test of the series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates and underwent surgery on his return to Brisbane.
Australia will play its first home Test of the summer against India in Adelaide from 6 December.
Khawaja is the only change to the Bulls side that lost to NSW in Canberra last week, with pace bowler Brendan Doggett suffering a quad strain during the match.
Queensland has also named its Toyota Futures League team for its third round clash against WA at Allan Border Field from Monday.
Pace bowler Cameron Gannon takes the next step in his return from shoulder surgery during the winter with his selection in a 13-man QAS squad, joining Alister McDermott and Pete George in an experienced pace attack.
Admission for both matches is free.
