Australian Test squad leg-spinner Mitch Swepson faces an extended period on the sideline as he recovers from a neck injury, with left-arm spinner Matt Kuhnemann in line for a first class debut if chosen next week in the starting team.
 
The Bulls will take a 13-man squad to Hobart for the Shield game at Blundstone Arena starting on Tuesday.
 
Norths allrounder Nathan McSweeney has been included in the squad for the first time this season after dominating with the bat for the Vikings in the Bulls Masters Premier Cricket competition.
 
McSweeney has scored 1139 runs at 75.93 in all formats this season, including four centuries and four half centuries, to be almost 275 runs ahead of the next highest scorer, his Bulls squad-mate Sam Heazlett with 865 for Redlands.
 
Heazlett has been included in the Bulls one-day squad which will open its Marsh One Day Cup campaign against the Tigers following the Shield game.
 
The Bulls led the Shield competition by two points from NSW before the competition went into hiatus to allow the KFC Big Bash League to take place.,
 
Queensland will play five more Shield matches to complete the truncated season, with three of those matches in Brisbane.
 
The Marsh One Day Cup will feature each State playing each other once before the top two teams meet in the Final.
 
Queensland will travel to Tasmania on Monday.
