The my FootDr Queensland Bulls have named an unchanged squad for their next JLT Sheffield Shield match against the West End Redbacks in Adelaide from Sunday.
The Bulls currently sit on top of a tightly-packed Shield ladder after drawing their match against Victoria at the MCG earlier this week.
The two teams are separated by less than six points, with Queensland in first spot and South Australia in fourth position.
Batsman Marnus Labuschagne, who finished 100 not out against the Bushrangers, is the leading runs-scorer so far for Queensland with 517 runs while experienced paceman Luke Feldman (28), allrounder Michael Neser (21) and leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson (20) have taken the most wickets to lead the way with the ball.
The team will travel to Adelaide on Friday to prepare for the match at the Adelaide Oval.
Queensland Cricket Talent Development and Pathways Manager Justin Sternes said batsman Joe Burns continued to make steady progress in his return from a torn adductor muscle suffered during the KFC Big Bash League last month.
“Joe is working well and we continue to monitor him. Depending on his progress, he could come into contention for a return late in the season,’’ he said.
Burns had scored 514 first class runs for the Bulls in the Shield matches played prior to the BBL.
The Shield match will be scored and streamed live on cricket.com.au
