Four Queenslanders with a connection to cricket received a Medal of the Order of Australia.

Included were Graeme Brady, a Life Member of the Rockhampton Cricket Association, former Dalby Cricket Association Treasurer Kenneth Brown, and long-time Churches Cricket Association member Selwyn Dickfos.

Also honoured with an OAM was Gregory Thompson whose contribution to cricket has included roles as a member, delegate, committee member, president, chairman, club ground curator, coach, captain, premiership player, hall of fame inductee, life member and historian across no less than seven cricket associations and clubs.

Locally, Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association Board Member and Director of Girls Cricket Robert Bailey was recognised for his ongoing contribution to cricket with a Brisbane City Council Australia Day Achievement Award.

Through Robert's passion and direction, BNJCA's 37-team association has grown to become the largest all-girls association in Queensland.

Queensland Cricket congratulates and thanks all of those recognised for their ongoing dedication to growing our game.
