Heading into its fourth season, Community Champions is a grassroots cricket initiative that has seen nearly $33,000 invested into community cricket clubs across the state.

Over 45 payments have been made to 28 clubs throughout the history of Community Champions, with clubs raising money when new and existing CUA customers take out products such as every day accounts, home loans and credit cards.

Recent recipients of Community Champions include Ferny Districts Cricket Club who have used money from the program to invest in four new pitches to cater for growth in their male and female junior teams. The Lakes Cricket Club are another to benefit from the program, using the funds they received from CUA to purchase their requirement of balls for the season.

The Muddies Cricket Club in Redlands remain the biggest winners from the program to date, with the $10,062 they have raised helping to upgrade training and public facilities.

Club and representatives can get in touch with their local Queensland Cricket representative or CUA branch to start earning cash.
