Now in its third year, CUA Community Champions allows new and existing CUA customers to earn savings through products such as health insurance policies, home loans and credit cards, with cash then injected into the local cricket club of their choice.

Over $23,000 has been raised for clubs across Queensland since CUA Community Champions was launched in October 2016.

The Muddies Cricket Club in Redlands have been the biggest winners from the program to date, with the $10,062.45 they have raised since May 2017 helping to complete new training nets, additional public areas, as well as contributing towards the major upgrade of current facilities.

The Muddies’ proactive approach and ease of communication with CUA have attributed to their successful implementation of the program and allowed the local branch to become a vital and welcome part of the club.

The Mundubbera Cricket Club is another grassroots success story from CUA Community Champions, with the $1,065 they raised across the 2017-18 season equivalent to an entire year of fundraising and helping to repair flood damage close to their training nets.

CUA Community Champions relaunches on Monday the 13th of August, with information on how clubs can get involved at https://www.cua.com.au/cricketclubs.
