The QAS was battling at 5-70 after winning the toss and batting, before Pfeffer and the experienced Ben Cutting counter-attacked in emphatic fashion to lift their side to 332 at stumps.

Pfeffer scored 117 while Cutting belted 65.

It was the first Futures League century for the Valley 'keeper/batsman, who scored 99 last season against the ACT.
