In consultation with the Brisbane Super Kings, a South Brisbane based cricket club, Queensland Cricket ran the forum at the National Cricket Centre in Albion to support bringing unaffiliated cricket tournaments into formal QC competitions.

Many competitions are currently being operated outside of Queensland Cricket, and processes have begun to bring these into QC affiliation where greater opportunities for player development, facilities, coaching and umpiring can be offered.

With Queensland's sport-loving sub-continent and multicultural community ever-growing, cricket is considered a vehicle to promote and support unity, health and inclusiveness.

It is hoped that unifying competitions being operated outside of Queensland Cricket will help to develop the growth of multicultural cricket in Queensland and promote the passion that many fans hold for the game.

The forum was attended by representatives from Queensland Cricket plus several clubs across Brisbane and included an appearance from the Australia A Men's squad who depart for their tour of India this week.
