The Queensland Under-17 team are shooting for a spot in the National Championship Final after qualifying first in their pool ahead of tomorrow's semi-final at Peter Burge Oval at Wellington Point.
Queensland lost just the one game in their pool round matches, to NSW Metro, and will take on Western Australia tomorrow after the Sandgropers finished second in their pool.
The young Maroons, coached by former internationals Adam Hollioake and John Davison, started their tournament in Mackay which hosted the first half of the national youth championships for the first time thanks to the support from the Mackay Regional Council and Harrup Park Country Club.
The Final of the championships will be held at Allan Border Field on Thursday.
