Queensland won its second Over 50s title in four attempts after a rain-affected final against New South Wales handed the men in maroon the championship having accrued more bonus points throughout the competition's pool matches. 

Trent Ryan, Gavin Brown and Alastair Lynch were selected in the Australian squad for upcoming inaugural Over 50s World Cup after standout campaigns, with Lynch having to withdraw. The World Cup will take place in Sydney from November 20 - December 5. 

The Queensland Over 50s team is a representative squad involved in Queensland Veteran's Cricket, offering playing opportunities in over 50s, 60s and 70s divisions for players wishing to stay actively involved in the game. 

The Over 60s National Championships will be held in Penrith from 11-15.
