The defending national T20 champions overcame the CA XI and Vic Metro on the opening day yesterday and will look to keep their winning form going today when there play a further two T20 matches.

Captain Charli Knott, a WBBL Brisbane Heat and Konica Minolta Queensland Fire representative, led the way against Vic Metro, top-scoring with 34 out of a total of 100 and claiming 3-10 as the Vics were held to 9-89.

A fine batting effort from Ruth Johnston, who top-scored with 71, and Knott (42) lifted Queensland to 6-166 before tight bowling and fielding restricted the CA XI to 5-104.
