Queensland will play NSW Magenta tomorrow in the Final of the National Under-15 Championships on the Sunshine Coast.

Queensland defeated Tasmania in a low scoring affair allowing Queensland to finish atop of Pool A. Batting first Tasmania at the end of their 20 overs amassed 4/95 with Nicholas Williams top scoring with 30*. Economical bowling from Ethan Bartley and Carter Pearson helped restrict Tasmania to under 100 runs. In response, Queensland’s quest for 96 was never in any trouble with Luke Davies (38) putting his team in a good position to chase down the runs before he was dismissed. Eventually, Queensland reached their target with 6 wickets in hand.

High flying NSW Magenta made it five from five to finish top of Pool B against the winless Northern Territory to the tune of 143 runs. Batting first NSW Magenta made on 1/197 off 20 overs with opener Jonah Trope agonisingly falling short of his hundred with an unbeaten 97. Trope was helped by Ethan Jamieson who made 73*. Northern Territory were bowled out for 54 in reply with Sam Elder the only batsmen to make it to double figures with 10. Joel Davies 3/16 and Shanuk Karandeniya 3/8 were the chief wicket takers for NSW Magenta.
