Queensland's campaign stalled at the hands of WA, which beat them in the regular round encounter and then again in the semi-final.

There was some consolation at the tournament's conclusion, with several players named in the Cricket Australia XI that was chosen from performances at the titles.

Batsman Lachlan Bell scored two centuries for Queensland, with the Wests left-hander reaching three figures against the CA XI and WA in the semi-final when he was the last player dismissed.

Following the tournament, a CA XI was named, with Redlands batsman Dylan Kritzinger, Wests wicket-keeper Toby Snell, Redlands allrounder Jackson Sinfield, Wests quick Tom Whitney and Toombul paceman Aubrey Stockdale selected and Bell named as a reserve batsman.

The U16 bowlers in the team will not play in the National Under-19 titles when the CA XI participates in the championships once again.
