Volunteer of the Year | Metropolitan South West

Queensland Cricket is very proud of the outstanding contribution these volunteers make to the success of cricket in Queensland, and the work of these individuals, clubs and associations make at the grassroots level represents a major stake in the overall strength of the game.

Twelve incredible volunteers will be recognised across the state at the upcoming Queensland Cricket Awards Gala. In the lead up to the awards, their contributions to the game will be shared across Queensland Cricket’s social media channels.

The twelfth volunteer to be recognised is Sathish Rajendran, Volunteer of the year in the Metropolitan South-West region.

Satish is the president of the Brisbane SuperKings and is certainly one of the most enthusiastic and passionate volunteers there is. From infrastructure to events to junior cricket and many more items, Satish has been proactive in ensuring positive experiences are made at SuperKings.

Recently, SuperKings just installed a brand new turf wicket facility for the club and the MSW region to utilise. This is a perfect example of the great work Satish does for the community and it is a credit to his work ethic.
