South Queensland Country set a competitive total of 125, with top contributions coming from South East Queensland representatives Ryan Beatty (19) and Ryan Weththasinghe (18). However, North Queensland Country's bowlers were up to the task, with Rory Franklin and Jack Watson both claiming three wickets each, both finishing with impressive figures of 3/16.
In reply, North Queensland Country's innings got off to a rocky start as opener Walt Lanson fell for a duck. However, the top order rallied, with Beau McCarron (33), Colby Rudd (20), and Jaden Bakurski (19) steadying the ship.
