Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund Round Two 2024/25 Finalised

Round 2 of the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund 2024-25 has been finalised, with a total of $303,833.97 being allocated towards 17 projects across the state through the joint funding agreement between Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket.

The funding has contributed towards the construction and upgrades of $1,374,126.37 worth of cricket-related infrastructure across Queensland clubs, schools, and councils.

Amongst the 17 successful applicants, 13 were from regional Queensland. Including Proserpine Junior Cricket Association (Proserpine Cricket Grounds, Proserpine), Bundaberg Cricket Association (Kendall Flat, Bundaberg),  The Cairns Cricket Association (Endeavour Park, Cairns) and Walkerston Cricket Club (McLennan Park, Walkerston).

Queensland Cricket’s strategic priorities were progressed in this round through ‘lighting up’ cricket fields and training facilities across Queensland, included within these successful applicants were Goondiwindi Regional Council (Riddles Oval, Goondiwindi). Progress was also made towards the Women and Girls Action Plan for Australian Cricket, through the allocation of funding towards the refurbishment of the changerooms and amenities at Landsborough Sports Club (Landsborough Cricket Club).
