Kookaburra Swings Into New Deal For QC
Kookaburra will be an Official Partner of Queensland Cricket, Brisbane Heat and Premier Grade Competitions, continuing a formal sponsorship agreement that has been in place for more than 13 years.
As part of the sponsorship agreement, Kookaburra will be the exclusive cricket ball provider for Queensland Cricket and the Brisbane Heat, QC Talent Pathway programs and the Premier Grade competitions.
The sponsorship continues a relationship between Queensland Cricket and Kookaburra that stretches back almost 25 years, with Kookaburra cricket balls a staple of Queensland Cricket competitions in that period.
Today’s announcement was welcomed by Pete Lock, Queensland Cricket’s General Manager – Commercial, Marketing & Corporate Affairs.
“Kookaburra is synonymous with cricket and we are delighted to again renew our partnership that provides benefits throughout the State,’’ he said.
“The surety provided by partnering with such a respected brand as Kookaburra, as well as the cost benefits that can be delivered to our clubs and affiliates represents a highly significant partnership for us.”
“We’re delighted to have Kookaburra alongside us to experience another exciting and memorable season and look forward to seeing some branded Queensland Cricket balls on show across the summer,’’ Lock said.
Kookaburra Sport General Manager – GTM, David Orchard, echoed Pete Lock’s enthusiasm for the continuation of their long-standing partnership with Queensland Cricket.

“We’re proud to continue our long-standing relationship and to reaffirm our commitment to the players, coaches and fans who make cricket in Queensland the centrepiece of the summer sporting landscape.”
“Our focus is not just on providing world-class products, but on helping nurture and grow the game from the grassroots to the elite level."
The first grade men’s teams in the Queensland Premier Cricket are currently contesting the Kookaburra One Day Cup competition with the Final to be played later in the season.
The opening match of the 2025-26 Sheffield Shield competition, featuring the traditional red Kookaburra balls, will commence on Saturday at Allan Border Field when Queensland takes on Tasmania.
