The Queensland Second XI have continued to build form with their second win of the season in the Toyota National Second XI competition today.

Queensland batters Hugo Burdon (101) and Aryan Jain (125) scored centuries in the first innings against NSW in Sydney, with Scott Palombo hitting 106no in the second innings to set up the victory.

Queensland made 418 in their first innings before NSW fought back to declare at 8-376, with spinner Jack Sinfield claiming 3-96 and debutant paceman Sam Geyer claiming 2-96.

Batting again, the maroons batted positively, with opener Angus Lovell (50), and Hugh Weibgen (70) setting up Palombo's knock that enabled the visitors to declare this morning at 5-314.

NSW fought well, but were ultimately dismissed for 185, with Sinfield adding 4-29 from 19.1 overs and fellow spinner Zanden Jeh claiming 3-62 as Queensland won outright by 42 runs.
