U19s Clinch Title!

The Queensland Under-19 women's team have saved their best until last, winning the National championships in Newcastle yesterday.

Queensland bounced back from two losses in the regular rounds to win both of their Finals games, overcoming NSW Metro in the decider.

Wynnum-Manly batter Grace Collins, who played her junior cricket in Maryborough, hit a match winning 79 in the final against NSW to fgo with her 51 in the semi-final against Victoria.

Collins finished with 237 runs. Pace bowler Mia Croucamp (3-6) and leg-spinner Aya Stafford (3-28) helped restrict NSW to 121 after Queensland had made 148.

Queensland also claimed the Spirit of Cricket Award from the championships.
