Queensland Bulls paceman Jem Ryan will have the chance to stake his claim for the second half of the season after overcoming a back injury.
Paceman's Return Boosts Qld
Ryan has fought back from surgery last year and has been named in the Queensland Second XI for this week's Toyota Second XI competition clash with WA in Perth.
It will be his first game for the Queensland Seconds this summer for the Ipswich Hornets quick, with the team unbeaten so far in their matches.
Also coming into the squad is Gold Coast allrounder Callum Taylor, with the former English first class player rewarded for consistently strong returns for the Dolphins.
As the BBL reaches its crescendo, Queensland squad players will use the game to accelerate their build-up ahead of the resumption of the Sheffield Shield and One Day Cup competition next month.
The Bulls currently sit second in both competitions.
