Allrounder Lily Bassingthwaighte will make her return to the Queensland Fire squad for this week’s important Women’s National Cricket League series against South Australia at Allan Border Field.
Fire Look To Consolidate
Bassingthwaighte joins the squad for the first time since the end of the Weber Women’s Big Bash League in December, after missing Queensland's pair of wins over Tasmania in Hobart earlier this month as she recovered from a minor ankle injury.
She replaces Sunshine Coast quick Catherine White in the 13-player Queensland squad.
If chosen in the starting side, it will mark her first game for the Fire since October when she played in the win over the ACT Meteors.
The unbeaten Fire currently sit atop the WNCL ladder, and will look to consolidate its place with three rounds of competition remaining before the Final in March.
The matches against South Australia can be seen live on Kayo and cricket.com.au.
Admission is free.
