The Queensland under-16 women's team has become the third maroons team to win a national youth championship this season, clinching their title in Launceston today.

The Under-16s defeated NSW Country in the Final today, joinng the Under-19 Queensland women and Under-17 Queensland men as national champions in 2025-26.
Queensland bowled and fielded with composure to dismiss NSW for 129 in the 45th over, with Georgia Black (3-17 from 6.4 overs) leading the way.
There were also multiple wicket-takers in Abbie Trevathan (2-28) and Peyton Meredith (2-38) while captain Ayaka Stafford was excellent with 1-17 from seven overs, as was opening bowler Amelia Kuhn who returned 0-15 from eight overs.
Wicket-keeper Lucy Logan was rock solid at the top of the order, finishing 53 not out as Trevathan (34) and Stafford (21no) provided excellent backing.
Queensland chased down the total to be 2-131 from 30.4 overs.
