The Queensland Bulls have recalled left-handed batter Sam Heazlett for his first domestic one-day match in more than two years ahead of tomorrow's crunch clash with South Australia at the Gabba.
Heazlett Recalled For Bulls
Heazlett, 30, last played a one-day match for Queensland on 31 October 2023 and comes into the Bulls squad tomorrow after batter Max Bryant was ruled out with a hip complaint.
Heazlett has played 34 List A games for Queensland, scoring 1322 runs at 40.06, and has enjoyed a solid season in the KFC Queensland Premier Cricket competition for Redlands, producing 393 runs at 65.5
He has recently been playing in the Nepal T20 Premier League.
Batter Jack Clayton (knee) will also miss the match, while let-arm pace bowler Oli Patterson has been omitted.
As well as Heazlett, pace bowler Tom Straker, allrounder Hayden Kerr and batter Angus Lovell also come into the 13-man squad.
The Bulls sit in third place on the One Day Cup ladder, one point behind NSW as all teams play their final round List A games this weekend with Tasmania already qualified to host the Final next month.
The match will be streamed live through cricket.com.au, the CricketLive app and Kayo.
Admission is free with entry via gate 5.
This will be the Bulls’ final game at the Gabba for the season with the remaining Sheffield Shield match to be held at Allan Border Field from 5 March against Western Australia.
