A host of talented Queensland teenagers is gearing up to showcase their abiity on the national stage.
Young Maroons Named For Camp
A squad of 25 Under-19 players has been selected by Cricket Australia for a specialist Men's Talent Camp, with the group of emerging players identified at this season’s National U17 Male Championships that was won by Queensland.
Maroons Theo Bacalakis, Spencer Green, Eli Brain, Theo Tsingos, Charlie Henderson, Ishaan Sandhu and Tom Vaseo were included in the squad for the Talent Camp that will take place in Adelaide from 29 March to 2 April.
Brain was player of the final won by Queensland, scoring 113 at Allan Border Field.
The four-day program starts Australia’s preparations for the 2028 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup cycle. Australia made the semi-finals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Namibia and Zimbabwe earlier this year.
The camp will feature two 50-over intra-squad matches and a T20 fixture, complemented by testing and education sessions.

Cricket Australia High Performance staff, led byb U19 Men’s Head Coach Tim Nielsen, will oversee the camp. The camp will be attended by members of the Youth Selection Panel.
