A host of talented Queenslanders will fly the maroon flag across the winter with Bulls, Fire and Brisbane Heat players in action across the globe.
Maroon Stars Ready For Tours
Today’s announcement of the Australian squad for next month’s ICC T20 Women’s World Cup in the United Kingdom follows on from the squad reveals on Monday for the men’s ODI and T20I tours of Pakistan and Bangladesh later this month.
Queensland Fire players Grace Harris, Georgia Voll and Lucy Hamilton were named today in the Australian squad, with Hamilton continuing her rapid international rise.
Over the past five months, she has made her Test, ODI and T20I debuts for her country, as well as play in the Women’s IPL in India.
The 20-year-old left-arm pace bowler captained Australia at the 2025 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup and will now take her place in her first senior Australian squad at a World Cup.
Harris, who produced a sublime century to ensure Queensland won its second Women’s National Cricket League title in March, will push hard to claim a spot in the starting side in England.
Likewise, Voll shapes as a key batting weapon, having hit her first century in T20I matches against the West Indies in March.
The men’s squad for their ODI and T20 will see Bulls and Heat batters Marnus Labuschagne and Matthew Renshaw continue to build their white ball credentials.
Labuschagne, fresh from an eye-catching effort as captain of the Hyderabad Kingsmen in the Pakistan Super League, will play the ODI series against Pakistan and Bangladesh where he is closing in on 2000 runs for Australia.
Brisbane Heat spinner Matt Kuhnemann is in all three squads while Heat pace aces Xavier Bartlett and Spencer Johnson will also be in action following their conclusion of their IPL committments this month.
