The Queensland Bulls will look to achieve a speedy bounceback tomorrow when they host NSW in their second domestic one day cup game in three days at Allan Border Field.
Bulls Seek Bounce Back
Queensland and Victoria produced a modern-day classic on Saturday night, with the visitors rising to claim a remarkable final over win in a game that was stacked with highlights.
As well as the Victorian duo of Will Sutherland and debutant Liam Blackford hitting centuries, Queensland had three players register career highpoints.
Batter Hugo Burdon, whose last game at Allan Border Field last year saw him hit a triple century for the Gold Coast in their Premiership win, hit his highest List A score of 73 from 70 balls. Second-gamer Dylan McLachlan did likewise, with his stunning 66no from 29 balls lifting the Bulls to a competitive 7-335.
When paceman Tom Straker, in his ninth career game, ripped through the Vics top order to have them reeling at 4-14, a winning start to the season seemed assured.
Instead, the Victorians rallied, even though Straker finished with a career best 4-50 from 10 overs to claim the best figures in the match.
Queensland has retained the same twelve for tomorrow's day/night limited overs clash.
