Peirson Back For Bulls

The Queensland Bulls have included wicket-keeper Jimmy Peirson for tomorrow’s Domestic One Day Cup clash with South Australia at Karen Rolton Oval.

Peirson missed the Bulls’ first three Dean Jones Cup games as he completed his return from a pre-season hamstring injury.

He successfully made his comeback in Queensland’s agonisingly close Sheffield Sheld loss to Western Australia last weekend, bringing up his 100th career first class game with his ninth century.

The Bulls completed a determined one-day win earlier this week against WA at the WACA, clinching a 16-run victory after batter Hugh Weibgen had laid the platform with his second List A century in a row.

If chosen in the starting side, paceman Jem Ryan would make his List A debut for the Bulls.

South Australia are currently leading the One Day Cup competition, with 11 points from three games. The Bulls sit in fourth spot with four points from three games.

Queensland take on South Australia on Monday in their next Sheffield Shield match, with the clash against the defending Shield champions being held at the Adelaide Oval.
