Bulls Return To Gabba

Pace bowler Xavier Bartlett, who has taken 16 wickets from the opening two Shield games, will miss the first class match as Cricket Australia manage his preparations for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against England.

The Australian white ball quick leads the Shield in wickets taken to date, with his dismissals coming at 11.81.

England will play Australia in three ODIs and five T20I matches between 13 November and 2 December before New Zealand arrive for the Test series in December and January.

Gold Coast Stadium at Carrara will host the second T20I on Tuesday 24 November and the Gabba will feature as the venue for the third T20I on Friday 27 November.

Other than Bartlett’s omission, Queensland have stuck to the squad that defeated defending Shield champions South Australia in Adelaide recently.

Former Australian Under-19 batter Tom Campbell would make his Queensland debut if chosen in the Shield line-up tomorrow.

This match is the first of two games in succession at the Gabba for the Bulls, with Tasmania travelling to Brisbane for the match starting on 11 November.
