Player Story

Grace Parsons is a right-arm leg-spinner from Lismore, New South Wales, who has quickly become a key figure in Queensland's cricketing landscape. She made her debut for Queensland Fire in March 2022, taking 4/33 against South Australia. In her debut season (2022–23), Parsons was named Queensland Fire's Player of the Year after claiming 15 wickets. She continued her impressive form in the 2023–24 season, leading the team's wicket tally with 20 wickets and earning a spot in the WNCL Team of the Year. Parsons signed with the Brisbane Heat ahead of WBBL|08 and, despite missing WBBL|09 due to a shoulder injury, returned strongly in WBBL|10, taking 12 wickets at an average of 20.58. Off the field, she was awarded the inaugural Pike-Maher Medal in 2023 for her outstanding community contributions during the Lismore floods.
