The Queensland Cricket Foundation is teaming up with the Brisbane Heat and Heart180 to install five lifesaving Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) at four Premier Cricket Clubs in South East Queensland.
QCF is aiming to raise $15,000 to ensure cricket clubs remain a safe environment for players, coaches, parents, volunteers, umpires and the wider community.
Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in Queensland, and access to a nearby AED provides sufferers with a 70% chance of survival if used within the first three minutes of a sudden attack.
