Queensland batsman Joe Burns will make his return to the limited overs arena for the Bulls in the wake of a first class milestone achieved in the recent Marsh Sheffield Shield match in Hobart.
Maroons Look To Impress
While the Bulls lost out in a final day run chase by Tasmania to clinch a remarkabke victory, Burns batting double of 133 and 55 saw him move past Greg Ritchie into eighth spot on Queensland's all-time leading first class cricket runs-scorers.
Burns, who will turn out for the Bulls in his first one-dayer this season tomorrow, has now scored 7141 first class runs for Queensland in 108 games. He also eclipsed the late Peter Burge in terms of Sheffield Shield runs, passing the 7084 runs that Burge contributed in his State career.
Batsman Matt Renshaw will miss the one-day game for personal reasons and will return for next week's important Marsh Sheffield Shield match against South Australia at the Gabba.
Queensland's last-day loss to Tasmania yesterday sees the Bulls in third place on the Shield ladder.
Tomorrow's Marsh One Day Cup game will be streamed on Kayo and cricket.com.au and broadcast on Foxtel.
Meanwhile impressive KFC Queensland Premier Cricket competition form has seen several players elevated to the Queensland 2nd XI team.
The 2nd XI takes on Tasmania in a four-day game from today at St Lucia's WEP Harris Oval in their Toyota 2nd XI competition game.
Included in the team for the first time is former NSW batsman Lachlan Hearne who scored a majestic double century for Toombul earlier this month since relocating to Brisbane earlier in the year.
Former Queensland Under-19 batsman Angus Lovell has also been acknowledged for his strong Premier Grade form over the past year for University of Queensland.
Australian Under-19 wicket-keeper Lachlan Aitken will make his 2nd XI debut for Queensland.
