Jono's focus on junior development has been unparalleled. Whether coaching beginners in Blasters or preparing turf wickets for senior matches, his tireless efforts have revitalized junior cricket in Ipswich. Under his guidance, Strollers Cricket Club has experienced significant growth, with junior numbers steadily increasing to over 110 players and blasters.

Beyond his club duties, Jono's impact extends across the region. He played a pivotal role in establishing new cricket grounds in Springfield, bringing cricket back to the area and fostering partnerships with neighbouring clubs like Fassifern to promote the sport's growth.

From coaching all-girls Blast programs to securing funding for dedicated training nights, Jono's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in cricket is commendable. His efforts to improve training facilities at the Redbank Recreation Reserve during the off-season underscore his dedication to the sport's long-term success.
