Queensland Cricket has recently unveiled its new Integrity Framework that will support safe, fair and inclusive environments for participants, volunteers and employees.
Integrity Framework Launched
The QC website now hosts a dedicated section which covers a range of integrity-related policies, explanatory information and diagrams, and a ‘Report Something’ portal.
The Integrity section is linked with the PlayHQ network and enables those participants who register to play to be directed to the QC integrity hub to review relevant documentation for Queenslanders.
Importantly, the registration process will include acknowledgement and agreement to the Framework.
The ‘Report Something’ portal is monitored by QC’s Integrity Team and will provide a vital tool to maintain the integrity of our clubs, competitions, affiliates and individuals. All reports are treated in the strictest confidence.
QC has developed the Integrity Framework which consists of several policies that apply to all Queensland cricket participants and cricket organisations.
Included in the Framework are policies and processes that relate to Code of Conduct (relating principally to ‘off field’ matters), Code of Behaviour (relating principally to ‘on field’ matters - relevant to competitions managed by Queensland Cricket), Racial Vilification, and Transgender and Gender Diverse Guidelines.
These policies exist to ensure the process of receiving and dealing with complaints or disputes and any subsequent investigation is managed in an efficient, consistent, fair and transparent manner by QC.
QC believes that all people have the right to work, play and socialise in an environment which is safe, fair and inclusive. Cricket Participants have the right to be protected from Prohibited Conduct or unacceptable behaviour whilst participating in our sport.
QC will not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment, bullying, unlawful discrimination, vilification, victimisation, indecency or violence against any adult or child involved in the game of cricket.
QC continues to review and expand our governance practices and improve the cricket experience for everyone involved our game.
