Jain Headlines Second XI

A stirring double century last week by Aryan Jain for Northern Sububs has delivered an ideal postscript with selection in the Queensland 2nd XI to play South Australia next week at Peter Burge Oval.

The former Queensland batter produced a superb one-day double ton against Wynnum-Manly in the opening round of the Kookaburra One Day competition, reaching the milestone of the final ball of the innings to be 203 not out as the Vikings amassed 4-363.

Jain headlines an experienced line-up for Queensland for their opening game of the Toyota National Second XI competition, alongside fellow Queensland representatives Hugo Burdon, Angus Lovell and Max Bryant.

South Brisbane allrounder Sam Geyer and former ACT paceman Sam Skelly, who linked with Norths in the off-season, are in line to play their first games for Queensland at this level.

The match will be played from Monday to Thursday and scored live at https://play.cricket.com.au/match/721de53a-de98-4087-aa1e-2b7d0d82c07e/queensland-south-australia-toyota-second-xi?tab=summary
