Cricket Australia has created a Play Cricket Disability Inclusion Resource Guide for the 2025-26 season, a practical tool developed to support community cricket clubs and associations in creating inclusive, welcoming environments for people of all abilities.
The free guide is available at: https://play.cricket.com.au/community/resources/inclusion-diversity/disability-inclusion?
The Disability Inclusion Resource Guide contains practical information on how coaches and club representatives can engage with an individual to determine if any modifications are required and if so, the options available and how these can be implemented in a club environment.
The guide highlights the importance of addressing barriers of participation and various strategies for ensuring the training and playing conditions are responsive to diverse needs and enable individual success. Additionally, communication tips are provided, to promote the establishment of an environment where all participants feel safe, welcome and included in cricket.
