Earlier in the evening Redlands won the bat flip sending Valley into bat, which has been on trend with the evening fixtures in the KFC T20 Max so far.
Valley openers Jack Beath (19 off 7 runs) and Ryan Felsch (25 off 17 balls) got the powerplay off to a flyer, with the score at 1/42 from 4 overs.
Despite regular contributions from the Valley middle order, a strong bowling performance from Redlands restricted Valley to 7/154 off their 20 overs.
For the Tigers it was Brisbane Heat and Queensland allrounder James Bazley who did the damage with the ball, claiming innings-best figures of 3/27.
In reply the Tigers got off to a slightly rocky start, with Queensland’s Jack Wildermuth picking up the first over wicket of Dylan Kritzinger and then Don Whyte claiming the prized wicket of Bazley to have Redlands 2/15.
It was from here that Heazlett took up the responsibility for the Tigers run chase, dominating the scoring and strokeplay (84* off 57 balls).
Whilst there were some tough chances dropped with Heazlett early, his innings was filled with trademark pull shots and square drives around Ian Healy Oval.
He was well supported by contributions from South Australian recruit Conor McInerney (30 off 21 balls) and wicketkeeper Leigh Drennan (22 off 25 balls).
Although there were a few late wickets from Valley, Redlands were able to get over the line 6-down with an over to spare and claim their third victory of the KFC T20 Max.
The KFC T20 Max action continues tonight out at Ian Healy Oval, as hosts Northern Suburbs take on Ipswich Hornets with plenty of Queensland and interstate stars on display.
Northern Suburbs will be led by Queensland’s Joe Burns, along with fellow Bulls player Connor Sully and the South Australian contingent of Harry Nielsen and Nathan McSweeney.
Ipswich will also have a South Australian flavour with Jake Lehmann and Matthew Spoors turning out for the Hornets.
For those who can’t make it down to Ian Healy Oval tonight, then the Northern Suburbs Vs Ipswich fixture will feature on Kayo Freebies as well.
